The 7 pillars of a healthy life

The 7 pillars of a healthy life

Having a healthy life is not just eating well. It's not just playing sports. A healthy lifestyle is characterized by balance in every way.

As I like to have a global vision of the topics I approach, "healthy living" is no exception. Indeed it is useless to have a segmented vision of a subject because it does not allow to see the whole reality of it.
For example, it is useless to focus only on seduction techniques to go looking for a girl. If one is shy, one must consider the whole thing. We must look for why we consider ourselves shy, how to change this belief, how to gain self-esteem, how to grow his social circle, how to increase his charisma and, why not, the techniques of seduction. But they are only a tiny part of the equation. That's why I'm going to focus today on presenting to you the 5 pillars, in my opinion, of a healthy life.

1. The diet

We start strong with the pillar which for me is the most important (and you will discover why): food! Especially that we can quickly do anything when we do not know what to eat.

We can sleep extremely well, have quality relationships, play sports ... If we eat junk food (junk food) all day long, it will not do it, it will destroy our health and energy. It will be very difficult to have a good physical hygiene!

Would you like to put olive oil in your car to drive? Obviously not! So why do you put soda and hamburgers in your body? This clogs it up and prevents it from working properly!

Let us keep in mind that according to our way of feeding ourselves and our internal dialogue, we send a very strong message to our unconscious. When you consume junk food, the message sent to our subconscious is: "I do not care about my health, I mistreat my body. "

Conversely, if we opt for a healthy diet, we send the following message to our unconscious: "I take care of my body and my health, I love myself. "

That's why the only change in our diet also allows us to gain self-esteem. We can not hope to have a healthy life without changing our diet. Let's take a closer look at the people who have succeeded in this world in different fields: whether Arnold Schwarzenegger, Novak Djokovic or the Obama, to name but three, they take very good care of their way of life and in particular their diet (as well as physical activity, we will come back to this later).

When we adopt a healthy diet, we bring a maximum of essential micronutrients to the body that it needs to function.

If you build IKEA furniture, it's better to have all the pieces to build the furniture, and it's the same with our body!

So, what are we changing in our diet?

Concretely, if we follow the paleo model (which I consider most suitable for a majority of people), we modify the following things:

Deletion of industrial products: prepared meals, low-end restaurants, fried foods, processed products (with list of extended ingredients), biscuits, fast food, ...
Deletion of dairy products: UHT milk, cream, cottage cheese ... Except, if desired and tolerated, cheeses and butter (raw milk) of animals fed on the grass, preferably by selecting rather goat and sheep rather than cow.
Deletion of cereal products: bread, pasta, brioches, bread, wheat-based, barley, rye, spelled ... Except, if desired and tolerated, basmati rice (or camargue rice), oats , quinoa. Note: Buckwheat is not a cereal and can be eaten because it does not have the disadvantages of cereals.
Suppression of legumes, especially soy, except fermented soybeans (which can then be eaten for profit): tempeh, miso soup, tamari ...
These are roughly the changes that can be made to move towards an "ideal" (which I put in quotation marks because there is no universal ideal, everyone has different needs). In any case, removing these products and focusing on fresh, raw, seasonal and organic quality products is necessarily a good solution.

When I talk about raw products, it includes vegetables, fruits, seaweeds, herbs, fish, meat and eggs, oilseeds, adding if you wish, vegetable oils, cocoa, spices ... which can be a little transformed.

2. Physical activity

The second, and not least, pillar is physical activity. It is obvious, and yet the sedentary rate is enormous. Worldwide, 3.2 million deaths a year are attributed to a sedentary lifestyle. With the explosive mix of junk food and sedentary lifestyle, we are witnessing a meteoric rise in obesity and all the problems that ensue.

If you are on this site is that you are already interested in your health and it has the merit of being underlined, so congratulations! Now, if you do not play sports, you will have to think about it, and no excuse of time.

Everyone has time to take 10 minutes to make jump rope or any split work (race, kettlebell, ...)

I want to tell you that if you think you do not have the time to play sports, it's about changing something in your life and reviewing your priorities.

Why ? Because there are so many benefits to doing physical activity that it will save you time: gain energy, gain motivation, better self-confidence, better health so fewer diseases ...

If you are smart you understand where I am coming from.

If you run out of time to take care of your health, here are several possibilities: throw away your television, sort through your life (relationships, objects, ...), get up earlier, learn how to manage your time, delegate tasks, delete tasks.
If with that you can not clear 2 hours a day, you are in bad faith 🙂

Do not be afraid to no longer see some people around you, the human being is constantly changing and it is absolutely NORMAL to change environment gradually, especially when you are in a process of progression as a great from readers of this site.

I conceive sport also in the paleo vision that I spoke about for food.

What is paleo sport? For me, it's just using your body the way it's designed! To be extremely versatile: running, jumping, swimming, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, hanging (by the hands!), Crouching, crawling ...

If you do all of this, you do everything for which your body is physically programmed, so you greatly reduce the risk of having backache or developing health problems. Back pain is the prerogative of the modern man who remains the ass screwed on a chair for 8 hours.

3. Healthy social relationships

It is well known, social relationships are very important in our life. What is less well known is that it is also essential for being healthy.

A study over several decades has recently shown that social relationships are the No. 1 factor of happiness in a person's life.

Of course, if we have conflicting relationships in our family, with our loved ones, it is normal that we have a much lower morale than if we have quality relationships. It affects, as I said, health as well.

Having toxic relationships with people who poison us stimulates cortisol, the stress hormone, which causes fat storage, state of permanent stress, insomnia ... The excess cortisol is a real poison and it is the element that characterizes our modern lifestyle stressed.

This is why I chose to have a paleo lifestyle, a way of life completely different from the average person (since the average person is overweight and in poor health).

It is important to sort out our relationships, because as a human being, we evolve and it is quite normal that most of our dating changes with advancing age. The people we were hanging out with in adolescence do not necessarily correspond to our way of thinking today.

I do not say that you should cut yourself off from all those who do not think like you, but keep in mind that it is useless to maintain relations with people with whom you have nothing in common anymore and with the key a toxic relationship that brings you nothing fulfilling!

Then sorting is not the only thing to do. The relationship you have with people is like a wood fire: it must be maintained to prevent it from going out.It is therefore essential to bring logs in all your relationships to maintain your network, including people you know little!

The power of your network depends on people you know little, you must sympathize more and more with these people and take their news.

Develop active listening: listen more than you speak. Be really interested in what your interlocutor is saying. Do not try to answer to talk about yourself, to outbid or to be right, it is the prerogative of the proud ones, of those who want to show that they have the biggest (except that keep in mind that it is the small dogs which make noise, the big ones are much quieter ...).

To make friends, learn to really care about the other person, ask questions and really be curious about the answer.

Developing your communicative skills is the best skill you can develop to have healthy relationships with those around you.

You may not know it, but most people communicate extremely badly: they criticize, feel guilty, want to be right, outbid, talk about them and do not listen. I really see it every day, I rub shoulders with a lot of people besides people who are developing and who have a little communication, the others do not listen.

Develop this quality and you will stand out very widely, you will live much less conflict, so you will have less stress, you will have much more harmonious relationships and you will be happier and healthier! It's worth it, right ?

One last thing: when an argument is triggered, do not try to be right or contradict, accept your mistakes, this is the best way to defuse the argument.

Even if you're right, be the smartest and confess your wrongs to make the sauce come back down, you'll soon see that this is the most useful strategy, and it shows great strength of character. You have to be humble to accept what the other person blames you, but you have everything to gain!

4. Nature

We tend to underestimate the nature, which can be considered as a vitamin so it is important. Nature is our natural environment, and not understanding this ensures endangering your health in the long run.

It's just like sports or food: a paleo diet and an adapted sport are not good for one's health, it's junk food and a sedentary lifestyle that are extremely bad for us. What difference does it make?

In practice, there is no difference, but I make the distinction for the understanding of the thing. A human normally works with these 7 pillars that I present in this article. A proper diet makes us work properly, it's the same for physical activity and nature.

It is as soon as we no longer fulfill these vital needs for the body that the problems happen. It is therefore

5. The game

Play, pillar of a healthy life? At this point, nature goes well, but there you play, do not you care?" "

Well, absolutely not! Gambling is an important pillar of healthy living.

Why ? Because we live in a society of serious people, serious all the time, jaded, boring, dull, boring, a society so taboo that everything is taboo: laugh without reason, make faces, run everywhere ... If you make a of these behaviors, you are cataloged as crazy and we send you the direct psychiatrist to prescribe some drugs in order to calm you down and make money for big pharma.

I insist, the game is really a vital pillar of healthy living. I'm talking about gambling in its broadest sense, that is, seeing life as a game, because in any case, life is just that: a game.

All of the behaviors described above allow you to release the buried (not released) emotions that remain in your body and rots from inside (as if you never take out the trash).

And an emotion that we do not go out, repeated every day for 40 years, is a cancer key or other major health problem (heart attack, stroke ...). Emotions not expressed are extremely damaging to health, they can cut the voice, give a ball in the stomach, lose hair, have psoriasis flare ... And this simply in the short term. In the long term, there is a very high risk of developing a serious illness.

For me, the importance of emotions is even stronger than diet on health.

So be serious when it is necessary, but in private or with friends who see life in the same way as you, let go! Go see in the Paris metro, you will see the number of people jaded by life that give the impression of going to slaughter. Do you really want to look like this? Is it sexy to mouth and always be serious?

An alpha man knows how to make life mockery, just see Arnold Schwarzenegger to understand what it is!

I do not say to behave like "stupid" all the time, to do the child and to be capricious, this is not my speech.

Simply, I want to open your eyes to the fact that modern society enslaves us by putting us physical and mental barriers, so less and less people get used to smiling people in the street, make faces all alone, jump everywhere, dance or laugh without reason.

To all those people who take life too seriously, I want to tell them, "What are you doing? Blow a blow and go see a comic movie! "

It does not cost more to see life on the bright side, to see life as a game without taking your head. And in the key, there is a radiant health, because expelling emotions with grimaces, animal sounds or screams is extremely effective! Really. By cons, not to do in public as I said, unless you want to finish the asylum.

We live in a society where it is forbidden for an adult to have fun, to make the child.

The children are so reprimanded that they calm down very quickly advancing in age and end up as jaded as 97% of their congeners.

6. Minimalism

Minimalism is a pillar that I really love, it's a revolution when you start applying it in your life. Minimalism is not new, it has been practiced for example by Buddhists for a long time. Minimalism is the art of voluntary simplicity, in other words, "Less is more. It's about simplifying your life and you get a lot of benefits from living like that.

Minimalism can be practiced in all areas of life. We can begin to sort at home by throwing or giving all the objects that we have not used for a while, who hang out and take the dust, which are double or triple.

In the West we have far too many material possessions, like barricading ourselves with all these objects giving us the illusion of security to protect ourselves from the politics of fear induced by the government and the media.

7. Sleep

The last pillar of a healthy life is unhappy sleep. Why unhappy?

Because it is flouted in our modern society. He is not respected at all!

We go to bed too late, with a permanent exposure to strong light in the evening, we put a strident awakening to the bad hours ... No wonder most people live like zombies when they flout what is supposed to get them back on their feet!

Take care of your sleep: identify your sleep cycles, use blue light filters on computer and phone (f.lux application), stop the screens 2 hours before sleeping, wake up at times that are consistent for you and you will have an Olympic form just by doing that.

You do not necessarily need to sleep 8 hours, it's a myth.

In general sleep cycles last 90 minutes, so you can decide to sleep 6 hours, 7:30 or 9 hours.

If you take naps after eating and you know how to manage your stress, your emotions, that you play sports and that you eat light enough at night and away from bedtime, you will need a lot less sleep!

Invest in good bedding, sleep completely in the dark, meditate before sleep and then read a good book and let yourself go by Morpheus.

You can optionally use the intelligent Sleep Cycle applications.

You now have a lot of tips that will make a MAJOR difference in your life if you put them in place.
